"Athletes in Motion" is dedicated to helping athletes take another important step towards achieving a sports scholarship for their post secondary education. By offering a unique 'double vantage point video service' and by combining the services of a Fitness Professional, it makes 'Athletes in Motion' the most unique video production service in South-Eastern Ontario.

Meet the Team

Shawn Cormier

A native of Frankford, ON, Shawn has a passion for sports, videos and computers. As a life long hockey player at the rep level, Shawn has experience in being an athlete himself and working as a team player.
He has a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services and participated in 1 year taking Television Broadcasting, at Loyalist College, Belleville. Currently Shawn is finishing his 3rd year at Durham College, where he is taking Computer Systems Technology which allows him to work as a Computer Systems Technician.
Shawn's array of education and interests allows 'Athletes in Motion' to provide the services it does to its clients.

Derek Arsenault (CSEP-CPT)

A native of Trenton, ON and now a resident of Frankford, ON, Derek brings a life long passion for sports, fitness, health and helping others to the team. Derek is Certified with the highest standard in Personal Training Certification in Canada. Along with his diploma in Fitness & Health Promotion, Derek brings his conditioning services to 'Athletes in Motion'.

Derek brings over 20 years experience in soccer, including playing at the regional level (C.S.L.) and provincial level (O.C.A.A.). He also brings 18 years of hockey experience at the rep level. His passion for athletics however spans beyond soccer and hockey, as he is a fan of all sports which is why he has dedicated his life to helping people through health and fitness. Derek focuses on sports conditioning within his profession and is very excited to be a part of 'Athletes in Motion' where he can now help young athletes in a whole new way.

Derek is also an entrepreneur of not just 'Athletes in Motion' but also two other small businesses. He is the former co-owner of 'FitQuest Wellness & Fitness Studio', and is currently the owner of 'Living Energy' mobile personal training services.

"Athletes in Motion-Video Production Services"

'Athletes in Motion' began with a client of Derek Arsenault's. Derek was training a client who was heading toward a Unniversity scholarship. He was going to be watching her on-ice performance in order to analyze her movement in the game, and taylor her program based on his findings.
At the same time, this athlete was having trouble finding a videographer and for a reasonable price. With that, Derek called his friend Shawn to video his client on the ice, and to make a simple video she could send to Unniversity scouts.
This in turn, sparked the concept of 'Athletes in Motion'. With some words of praise for the work that was done, Derek and Shawn decided to take this to a new level, and help more athletes in the same way.
